Man and Machine
Visit artist Ananta Mandal’s seventh solo exhibition of painting titled A journey from Reality. Mandal is known for his proficiency in the use of water colors. His earlier works depict the cityscapes of Kolkata and Mumbai, capturing the old-world charm of their architecture and streets. This exhibition is about hidden worlds in a city, where he sees machinery overwhelming the simple life. Another prominent element in Mandal’s works is butterflies signify the fragility of time, highlighting the sensitive interplay of technology and humanity.
